Sustainability strategy

Start of main content

Following an assessment of the Strategic Plan in 2017, a new scenario was drawn up for 2018-2022.

This new scenario may be summarised as follows:

  • Maintenance of the four strategic lines:
    • Consolidation and diversification of the business
    • Competitiveness
    • Local relations
    • Environmental integration
  • The mission of the Huelva Port Authority is still to provide sea-land intermodal services for logistic transport chains and industrial and commercial activities and other services, managing the provision of infrastructures, land and other resources (economic, financial and human) to foster social and economic development within its area of influence (hinterland).
  • Its vision may be summed up as: “A leading European South Atlantic port operating in the energy, mining and agrifood sector as the main logistics and intermodal node in the southwest of the peninsula”.

The values consolidated are as follows:

  • Transparency
  • Excellence
  • People
  • Commitment
  • Vocation to provide a public service
  • Innovation

In addition to its role as a vehicle to set out Huelva Port’s mission and vision, the Strategic Plan forms the basis of the annual action plans and guarantees the consistency and continuity of planning.

It is for this reason that the 2018-2022 scenario for the Plan will have 4 Strategic Lines, 14 Targets and 65 Courses of Action. The strategic map below graphically depicts the strategic lines and goals.

A new computer application was implemented this year and is now available for the integrated monitoring of all planning.
